Thanks for taking the time to develop the latest posts module for Fireboard on Joomla (mod_fireboard 1.0.0 for Joomla! 1.0.15). It works like a charm. Now one quick question. I have two instances of the module on my site. On one, I want to display it pretty much out of the box. But on the other, I want to hide the category and date columns, like remove them from displaying. Do you think you could help me with that?

First off... I presume you are using this module: mod_fb_latest_!J1.5.zip downloaded from the download section!?

If you are using an old version of the joomla 1.0 convert to 1.5 module, it is using the FB latest posts activity script (it loads the FB script in to the module) and to hide date and category coloumn would cause it to be hidden on the fireboard as well.

The module I am talking about I have removed from my download section because I can not give any help on it other than the "how-to-load-the-fb-script", and not how to modify the output because fireboard dev (bestofjoommla) does that.

But if you are using the one from download section, I can give some help on how to remove date and category from the output, and to have different types of output simply by editing some files (creating a new module from the module).

Did you just copy it to use it several times in module management?

I am using an old version of the module (more precisely, mod_fireboard 1.0.0) for joomla 1.0, since at this point in time I unfortunately can't get enough hours to put into upgrading the whole site to joomla 1.5.

It sounds like I will not be able to make the changes I need for that module.

And answering your question, yes I was just copying the module two time in the module management. Let me know if you can think of a way of how I might be able to hide those columns without hiding them in FB and without having to upgrade to joomla 1.5. Thanks for all your help.

I did not understand what module you are using before I went to check on the source-code of each module for joomla 1.0.x Joomla 1.0.x was a long time ago for me

I have created a modified version, where I removed the category and date coloummn, please try it, and let me know if need of more modification.

That's great. Thanks, tom. But when I go to install it, the module installer says module already exists. Any thoughts?
